‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ The APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) and UBX Philippines Corp. are committed to protecting the Personal Data we collect, use, process and disclose through the use of the ABAC Concierge App, as well as other products and services availed therein.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ We respect your right to know how we collect, use and protect your Personal Information. That’s why we are giving this notice to inform you on how we process your Personal Information. By using the mobile application, you agree to the terms of this privacy policy stated below. We encourage you to review the following carefully so that you understand our privacy practices.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ We may update this policy as necessary to keep it responsive with Data Privacy requirements, coverage and technology security advancement to give the best information security on your Personal Information. You are welcome to check this page from time to time to ensure that you are updated and pleased with any changes we made.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ A. This Privacy Notice applies to our consumers, agents, partners (such as driver, delivery and commercial partners) and other service providers.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ B. Personal Data shall refer to any information, which can be used to identify you. This includes but is not limited to your name, telephone number, bank and credit card details, email address, address, any image you share in the app, and government-issued identification numbers.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ C. Personal Data is usually collected, use, disclosed or otherwise process in accordance with this Privacy Notice with your consent, or in compliance with applicable laws, such as where:

• It is required for us to comply with legal requirements;
• It is required for us to enter into or perform a contract with you; and/or
• For our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of any other persons, including but not limited to for the purposes set forth in this Privacy Notice.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ D. We also collect your Personal Data to facilitate your transaction needs and avail of our products and services, among others:

• Verify your identity through various means (such as social media logins, submission of selfie images or independently verified credit card information)
• Fill up demographic information in surveys
• Show you relevant ads on and off our services and measure the effectiveness and reach of ads and service;
• Abide by any safety, security, public service or legal requirements and processes; and
• Process information for statistical, analytical, marketing and research purposes to create anonymous and aggregate reports.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ E. We collect your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with the requirements of the law and legal process, such as a legal and regulatory obligation, i.e. Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA), or to prevent imminent harm to public security, safety or order.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ In compliance with relevant laws, rules and regulation in the Philippines, we may be obligated to submit your Personal Data to appropriate government agencies.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ Requests for access or correction to your Personal Data may be allowed provided we are not legally prohibited from doing so. You have the right to ask for copy of any Personal Data we hold about you, as well as to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ The security of your Personal Data, in paper and electronic format, is important to us and we take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorized access, modification, and unauthorized disclosure. Should there be a need to store your Personal Data with a third party data storage providers, we use contractual arrangements to ensure that those providers take appropriate measures that are aligned with the data privacy laws of the Philippines.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ Retention of your Personal Data shall be done for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes stated in this Privacy Notice unless a longer retention period is required or allowed by law. Once your Personal Data is no longer necessary for the purposes stated herein, or we have no longer have a legal or business purpose for retaining your Personal Data, we will take steps to erase, destroy, anonymize or prevent access or use of such Personal Data for any purpose other than compliance with this Privacy Notice, or for purposes of safety, security, fraud prevention and detection, in accordance with the requirements of applicable laws.
